Thank you for courageously taking on the role of being the leader’s wife without a script or how to manual to navigate through this once in an eternity role uniquely designed for you. Your contributions as wives through the ages span from being the womb that incubates the dream and the dreamer to the hand of consoling comfort in final hours as great men reflect upon life while inquiring with their last breath “Did I make a difference?”

Thank you for making your home a land of fertility where saplings of greatness took deep root, developed, and matured into trees that have provided shade from the heat of life for hurting and hopeless humanity. For all of these things and more I pause to say thank you.

Thank you for painting a smile on your face when your heart was broken. Thank you for smiling through tears.

Thank you for choosing to continue your good works even though many times they were mistaken for interference.

Thank you for choosing to live on when death offered an alternate escape route.

Thank you for realizing that the eternal purpose of your marriage far outweighs the fluctuation of joy, sorrow, hope, disappointment, poverty, and luxury that you have endured and experienced.

Thank you for endlessly and patiently waiting as your husband completed obligations that defined his call.

Thank you for gracefully navigating through advances toward your husband filled with mankind’s endless political agendas and greed for prestige and position. Thank you for enduring and loving challenging people.

Thank you for your pearls of wisdom whispered in secret chambers to your husband confirming God inspired visions and dreams.

Thank you for feigning ignorance to minimize occurrences pregnant with deadly relational venom that came to slay your combined destiny.

Thank you for ignoring cruelties designed to distract you from your call as a wife.

Thank you for undermining crafty strategic needy manipulation through wisdom and prayer.

Thank you for having the strength to stay or leave and the wisdom to know the better of the two for each unique scenario.

Thank you for your poise, grace, and elegance, affirming his taste for the finer treasures of life.

Thank you for being the role model of what to do, how it should be done, and when it should be done.

Thank you for setting the culture of etiquette, mannerisms, and attire for each given occasion.

Thank you for balancing your family life and the necessary demands that bring change.

Thank you for denying yourself for the sake of others and for making the world a better place to live.

Most of all thank you for being uniquely you.
